One unexpected thing from the Kings season so far… I legitimately enjoy watching Westbrook play the game of basketball.

Disappointed that Christie’s coaching staff has had no answer for Reaves. Bring a double from the same place over and over and he is picking it apart. Maybe try something else???

The number of fouls and free throws is getting out of control here in the 3rd.

I will admit it. I am thoroughly enjoying these Westbrook minutes. It’s making me a little uneasy. But I think I’m liking it.

He has been flat out awful. Was terrible in the pre-season and nothing is getting better now.

Something tells me playing Cardwell next to Eubanks isn’t the play. Probably not great giving up 6 straight free throws followed by a lay up line.

13-23 free throws. Why are we talking about this again? Unbelievable that this team keeps finding the same way to lose. Change the players. Change the coaches. New year. Same dumb ass reasons to lose. Rebounding and bloody free throws. Lost the fight. Lost the game. 0 for 2 in this one.

Kings allergic to defensive rebounds.

Trend has continued. Kings not closing out possessions. Lead getting dicey.

Well that was an unexpectedly fun half of basketball. Maybe they can do that again in the 2nd half?? Defensive rebounding was a bit lacking and that is really the only thing keeping PHX in the game.

LaVine doing LaVine things.

I’ll say it again. Lavine is Sacramento’s best player. Leveraging him in the offense is paramount. A scout told me “LaVine gets buckets like how we breathe” He has 16 pts in 15 minutes. But the most promising thing I saw from LaVine was blowing up Portland’s “wide” action on the defensive end💯

Somehow, someway the Kings put up 29 and lead by 10 after Q1.

Sabonis has been terrible. Like terrible, terrible.

Kings apparently allergic to defensive rebounds. No clear organization in boxing out. No effort or hunger for the ball to end the possession.

18 FTs for the Blazers in the first quarter is wild work.

Preseason game #1. But I think the Kings are just flat out bad. They look less talented, less organized, less physical than the Raptors. And just like last year they don’t want to compete.

Kings proverbial talent cupboard is bare. Yikes, this is going to be a long, long season.

A couple things I like about watching Nique Clifford so far in Summer League 1. His height/length is real. It’s not a made up 6’6”. He is a legitimate athletic wing. 2. He plays at his own pace. He doesn’t get sped up. He moves with purpose and his athleticism is controlled but can pop.

I couldn’t be more over the Kings. I keep thinking something will turn for the positive. But nope. It’s just all bad and no signs of life. No fog on the mirror and the body is getting cold.

The front office has brutalized this Kings roster/team. The collective team has no soul.

I think LaVine is one of the most inconsequential scorers I have seen in the NBA. I keep trying to like his game but to me I can’t get over empty calories with him. And I know he isn’t going anywhere with that contract.

Kings have had every opportunity to win this game and it’s just brick after brick.

Devin Carter aka “Young Gucci” out there hoopin for Sacramento. Carter is out there blowin up the Cavs halfcourt sets…ball pressure and deny “overplay” defense on the wings. Not to mention bonus points and a career highs scoring. I love that Doug Christie is staying with him in clutch time.
