I would not have a PhD in special education without the IES. The hundreds of teachers I’ve helped prepare benefited from the evidence-based practices I taught them that were funded by the IES. The work of IES is a MODEL of efficiency in research excellence. Your educator friends are not okay.

I have an advent challenge for exhausted academics. Take time each day to rest. If 5 minutes is a challenge for you, then start there. I challenge you to take 20 minutes. You can work up to it. Use a timer so you don't worry about how long it's been. You can do this badly. Please try.
