Keir Starmer knew that Peter Mandelson continued his close relationship with Jeffrey Epstein after Epstein's conviction for child sex offences. He brought him into the heart of the Labour government anyway. Starmer cannot continue as Prime Minister. He must go.

Yesterday, Green Party councillors from across the region joined activists outside the LCR HQ to lobby the Transport Committee to bring Merseyrail back into public hands. At present, £millions go to shareholders rather than back into the network, where this funding is needed.

Great to see Cllr Tom Crone's motion to bring Merseyrail back into public hands was passed unopposed at the full meeting of Liverpool City Council last night. Merseyrail pays millions in dividends to shareholders- this money is needed to build a cleaner, greener and safer network.

Water bills up again. The Green Party will lower bills by ending the privatised water company rip off. Water must be taken into public ownership now.

A report from @jrf-uk.bsky.social shows UK poverty is 'deeper and more damaging than any point in last 30 years' - citing the government's lack of urgency and direction. Poverty is a political choice - Labour have chosen austerity over addressing inequality by taxing extreme wealth fairly.
