Okay, grocery-card program: In < 2 weeks, we've raised $3,603. I've already purchased the first $3K worth of cards, and they're already all distributed or spoken for. Waiting for that $600 to clear, but a lot more is needed. Another $1,400 would take care of more families next week.

Trump is appealing the judicial order to pay full SNAP benefits by tomorrow. He’s spending tax payer dollars going back to court to try and avoid giving folks money they are legally owed. He’s starving 42 million people because to him they are leverage. It’s enraging.

Once again, no one chooses to become disabled. It’s not a moral failing or something a person can “try harder” and avoid. You are not owed our medical history or an explanation. You are not the arbiter of who’s disabled “enough”.

I think a lot about the story Carl Reiner told: he’d have been a sewing machine repairman if not for a free WPA drama class.
