Now how on earth did she come to that conclusion, since there were precisely zero mentions in any of the papers leading up to the referendum, in fact the commission afterwards specifically stated that Scotland was entitled to hold a new one at the time of her choosing.

Fiona Bruce should have a read at the Edinburgh Agreement the legal document for indyref1 because nowhere in it does it mention "once in a generation." Democracy doesn't stop just because you're afraid the vote might not go your way this time.

I do not watch the BBC for the every reason we just heard. The SNP is not the only party in Scotland 🏴 wanting independence, so this myth of them being short of seats is crap 💩. It is a) the undermining of a party that keeps winning. B) ignores the Greens wanting independence.

In 2021, Tory govt froze annual personal allowance (PA) at £12,570. Labour continued with it. If PA increased in line with inflation, it would be £16,048 for 2026/27. As a result, someone earning £20,000 will pay extra £696 income tax in 2026/27 alone. This is not conducive to economic growth.
