You might have thought the electoral kicking the Tories and Labour got at the recent Holyrood election would have taught Russell Findlay, Anas Sarwar and Jackie Baillie some humility. But no, they're as boorish and entitled as ever. They think it's the electorate that needs to change, not them.

No one is saying the conviction of the ex-husband of a former FM for embezzling £400,000 from party funds isn't a big story. But when 10 lead news stories on one Scottish newspaper's digital site are about it and other important stories are ignored, it's no longer news coverage, it's a vendetta.

On BBC News at Six James Cook said John Swinney won't be able to press for an indyref as the SNP didn't win a majority. He "forgot" that with 15 Scottish Green MSPs Holyrood has its largest ever pro independence majority.

The anti-independence parties received millions in bribes (sorry, 'donations') to pay for all those annoying social media ads featuring Anas Sarwar. They had the backing of almost all the press & the BBC pumping out an unceasing torrent of propaganda, & they still failed. No wonder they're raging.

Channel 4 News is generally the best of a bad bunch in UK news broadcasting but it was odd in their report on the Scottish and Welsh elections today that they said Plaid and SNP had failed to win majorities but didn't say both countries use PR systems which make majorities almost impossible.
