Thinking back to my Immigration Law professor who pointed out as a curiosity (in a more innocent time) that jus solis citizenship was constitutional, but jus sanguinis was 'merely' statutory. I.e. if you were born abroad to American parents, your citizenship wasn't guaranteed in the constitution.

In the absence of physical media, video games become *completely* ephemeral, they can vanish with absolutely no trace. Unlike someone's 40 year old cartridge forgotten in a box in their basement, maybe one day to be found and archived, there is instead *nothing*.

I don't think folks younger than 30 know what the internet once legitimately promised to be (and I would argue briefly was): a boundary-less space of pretty much uncommodified information and communication. A mix between community bulletin boards and university library stacks.
