There are two reasonable outcomes: people going to jail OR we collective agree that most academia and research are cons. It either maters or it doesn't.

There should be an investigation for each research that received a grant from this group. People should leave in handcuffs. Universities and research centers should have to return the money. Instead, we are going to get another "pressure to publish is so bad, but incentives..."

Neuroscience as a research field has a lot to answer to society. Pre-paradigmatic and post-"oops, sorry, we've been faking our research for the last 30 years". Neuroscience at this point is worse than astrology. At least I don't have to explain to anyone why astrology is a scam.

The fact that there won't be a single person that is going to go to jail for faking research and papers and delaying Alzheimers and Parkinson research by 30 years is baffling.
