Had a wander to 'Dingle Bank' recently, making the most of the sun - an interesting area with some curious bits and bobs, with a wonderful old benchmark on an ivy covered stone as a bonus.

Our #ArchiveOfTheWeek is this impressive A-level project by Trevor Jordan from 1977. It contains many photos, including ones of two limestone blocks which were once set into the Newhaven Tunnel, as well as other industrial archaeology features of the Cromford and High Peak Railway.

I've been enjoying working on some transcription for the first #oralhistory interview I carried out recently - it's been a great process and such a pleasure being able to capture a recording of someone's story, and preserve that memory for the future.

I've been indulging in some eerie late 1970s television lately, in particular I've been enjoying 'Leap In The Dark' which ran for four seasons starting in 1973. 'Come And Find Me' from Series 4 is a real gem, with some stone tape theory and voice phenomena thrown in for good measure...

We went to Haddon Hall recently for their new exhibition 'Magic' which is well worth a trip - I've had an apotropaic nosey around there before but this one was new to me! Faintly carved into the inner arch of the main entrance way...
