I consistently wonder if the general population will eventually stop distinguishing between low-power ML (tiny models that return a few confidence values) and large-scale LLMs. As I implied before, edge computing, ethical data, and smaller models solve a lot of the problems plaguing the field.

I normally listen to audiobooks, but with my 88,000+ public domain epub collection, it's not always feasible to have audiobooks for every title. Found a TTS backend APK that is quick and sounds decent. Works well enough, but I'm still a fan of human-read stuff if I can get it.

So I bought parts to build my own CPAP machine. Will probably get a proper one once I get back home in a few months, but I need better sleep in the interim. If it goes well, I'll let you all know.
