-The manga does explore similar deep questions in the margins but in-between those moments it's actually this weird, lurid goofy little sci-fi romp, and it's looking like we can now watch that more faithful version as well. Funny how a "fresh" take on an anime icon means going back to the source.

I'm a huge fan of what Oshi did with this story, absolute touchstone, a work of art, the subsequent adaptions often tried to maintain the same gravitas that he built. But this is going to be something new for fans who didn't read the comics, is the world ready for wisecracking Motoko? I can't wait!

My spooky little vamps, 2013 & 2025 Finding and sharing art online has been a lifelong pleasure, a source of inspiration and joy. But now real vampires have come along and are trying to suck all the life and vitality from our community of artists... it's heartbreaking honestly.

We already know that using "AI" quite literally rots your brain, but we are also beginning to understand the treatment for it, and surprise surprise, it's engaging with something that challenges your mind, watching experimental animation for instance, something that doesn't spoon-feed you answers.

It's such a struggle for indi artists to make a living from their work... then again it's such a struggle for commercial artist to make a living from their work... Everyone wants what we're making, but no bastard wants to pay us for making it. Most artists enjoy the process, but you can't eat joy.

It's #potfolioday again. I'm a traditional pen and ink illustrator, but I am currently switching to 'Digital mode' for the sake of future projects.

All these AI "upscales" remind me of those kids back in the 2000's, when PS elements was on every PC, who put the sharpness up to 11 and used the posterize filter on all their drawings because they thought it made them look better. (it did not make them look better)

I haven't touched this stylus since we started moving house in October, and it's been even longer since I felt compelled to draw my alabaster self, the passage of time (and perhaps the stress of events) has gifted me with two errant grey eyebrow hairs, I might be turning into an owl, or a moth.
