I had two standing garden planters built for the front of my house, which otherwise has no greenery and connects straight to sidewalk. Passers-by laughed, jeered even, saying that people steal plants around here. I pressed on. No one warned me about the birds. The birds fooled everyone.

Hands down one of my favourite parts about living on the East Coast is when I go to the beach, and a seagull or crow picks up a big shellfish, flies it way up into the sky, and drops it so that it breaks on the rocks, exposing the food. Action, violence, murder, this beach has it all!
