I’m excited to participate in #SidewalkPalooza. It’s a great opportunity to bring attention to our critical infrastructure that we mostly overlook, but that hinders a lot of people with limited mobility in their daily lives. We have to fund ADA compliance and basic sidewalk repair.

DC has some similar challenges. You have to be a certain age to put Kids Ride Free card on phone. Once lost, cards are hard to replace. Let’s modernize this! Psst for candidates if you’re looking for paths to free bus, getting Kids Ride Free right is the first step.

😱😱😱 Riding Metro by the snowcrete debris at RFK and holy moly there’s hundreds of flexposts, pedestrian pylons, and protected bike lane stuff that got plowed. It’s also really gross!

When we were Advisory Neighborhood Commissioners @evanyeats.bsky.social and I requested several bike racks. This one by Lost Sock, Donut Run and the other 4th St NW businesses in Takoma is a hit. Not everything is easy but we had good luck with bike racks thanks to the DDOT folks.

NEWS: @mayorbowser.dc.gov has very unexpectedly released a report @ddotdc.bsky.social finished five years ago on what implementing congestion pricing in D.C. would look like. She had refused to make it public since it was done, but now calls congestion pricing "the wrong policy at the wrong time."

It's hard to lend much credence to Bowser's stated reason she withheld the report because it's outdated considering a. it was commissioned before Covid and b. the council offered *two years ago* to update it and Bowser declined. washingtoncitypaper.com/article/6623...
