Playing Battlegroup NorthAG in 6mm again this evening. And why has this never occurred to me before? āSuggest for tonight: for hidden deployment/pre planned barrages/etc - easiest will be to take a photo of the table before the game and mark stuff on thatā.

Got the Inquisition on the table for my first game of Kill Team. Great great fun. Extremely tight rules set (in a good way) that gave a great game in about 90 minutes. Very tactical and think-y in a good way.

After painting a lot of Cold War 6mm and 15mm WW2 in the last few months, this was an excellent palette cleanser. Playing Kill Team on Monday. Hope itās rubbish or I might have to paint up some more Kill Teams.

First time in the new Bad Moon on Holloway Road. Superb venue. Lovely space, Guinness Zero and good pizza. And only 50 minutes each way for me on public transport. Premier League of gaming venues. Doing a good Monday night trade too which is great to see.

Trip back to the 1980s. Some opposition for my 6mm Americans. A battalion of T-64s, a motor rifle company and some BDRM-2 scout cars. Got another motor rifle company and some bits and pieces of support to add. All Heroics & Ros models.

Russians (a short thread) A couple of weeks ago, my grandson Jacob, asked me to paint some Russians for him. He said he wanted them to go up against my snowy Germans in our games of Chain of Command, and like the soft touch I am I said yes.

I thought everyone did 8th Armoured Brigade for their NWE British tanks because they enjoyed J Hollandās Brothers in Arms and were drawn to the Sherwood Rangers. I know see itās because the arm of service number is on the brigade patch rather than being separate. Reduces the number of decals needed.

Painted some cyberpunk figures last year. And backed a kickstarter for cardboard terrain. That arrived about a month ago. Finally got a chance to have a proper look at it and put it on the table.

The oak tree and the base. I've tried out a few things and I think it sorta works. Now I let everything dry properly and then seal it all in. One of the upsides is that the tree is very easy to handle, no shedding or breakages.

Been reading too much Normandy stuff recently. So this happened. A 15mm - individually based - British rifle company plus some support. Mostly FoW plastics but with some Peter Pig. Armour next. Then the Germans and terrain. For CoC, Battlegroup & Rapid Fire.

A quick PSA for people travelling to Salute today on the DLR. Get off at the stop after Custom House, it's called Prince Regent. It'll save you a long walk through the Excel as we are nearer the Eastern entrance this year.

6mm 1980s Germany terrain continues with some post & wire fencing (1mm brass rod cut to size and jewellery wire) and some trees to line parts of roads (cheap plastic ones with a light spray of pale yellow). Next: basing them.

Made some 6mm scale woods. Started off with a different plan and then quickly realised I could get away with using a lot of course flock at this scale. They give the impression of woods without actually being tiny model woods.
