I've been up for an hour, tea drunk, shower, shit & a shave all done. Off to help put on a 3mm Cold War game at Re: Play show at the Sapper Museum in Gillingham. Really looking forward to it as it's a cracking venue and it'll be the first run out for Des' new BAOR kit. Pop by and say hello.

Photo dump of the weekend long game of "Not Quatre Bras" round Des'. A cracking time spent with proper mates playing with beautiful kit. Only fly in the ointment was the utter twatting we received from our opponents as they gave us a lesson in Napoleonic combined arms!

Just finished this off. Half rebased figures, half newly painted. Adler 6mm French Napoleonic Line Infantry 1re Btln, based for my rules as usual. Also did similar with a battalion of Lützow Freikorp but they will be replaced with Turner 3d prints so sort of half arsed them, plus more limbers.

Did anyone else have these? I was given loads by my dad when I was a kid. Admittedly I didn't really read the info but spent hours poring over the cracking illustrations.

Just finished the basing on the Napoleonic Saxon I/Friedrich August infantry. Henry Turner Miniatures "made" by me in Blender and printed at about 7/8mm scale. Based for my own rules.

I've been very quiet as haven't had much to show as I've been beavering away on Blender "making" lots of Napoleonic Westfalians for printing. However I have managed to finish off a few bits so here's a couple of Austrian limbers plus a Saxon battalion ready for varnish & basing. 6mm Turner prints.

Off round Des' for some hot CoC action, only my second go at a Pacific set game.

One of the books that started it all off for me, one of the few Blandfords that me and the other uniform nuts had out on a rotating loan from Romford Market. Only £3.

We've just been to see Jaws at the cinema. Ruddy marvellous.

Fantastic news. Because the train from Doncaster to Leeds has run slow we will miss our connection at Leeds and have to wait half an hour for the next one. That first pint ain't going to touch the sides.

Cracking start to our trip away to Yorkshire. Train we were on got cancelled after we got on it. Had to jump on another along with everyone else. Nearly at Doncaster now. Been stood up all the way. Outside a kharzi as only space left. I need a pint or three! 😀

Cracking day down the club yesterday, hall was packed which was great to see. Me & @desmondo.bsky.social had a marvellous 6mm Cold War'ish game using my FFT3/ CoC hybrid. His Sovs pushed my Austrians off the table but only at a terrible cost.

Didn't get to take many pics today as I was very busy helping with the rules. Here's the situation at half time earlier...

Off round Des' for some 3mm Cold War action. Did a spot of rebasing before I left which included this fella. Probably the best 6mm figure I've painted - some of you might recall him from "the other place". Adler, painted as a Hanseat Legion Artillery officer.

Surely not more finished kit? 4 half-battery bases of Austrian 6 pdrs. 6mm Turner 3d printed figures bought from Nerad Games, limbers on order.

Bit of Buffalo hunting, plains style down the club tonight. I managed to shoot the white one twice but just annoyed it! Cracking fun, rules by Pip.

The next batch of figures are ready for varnishing. More Turner bought printed figures. Enough Austrian gunners for 3 batteries, guns nearly finished too. Varnishing and basing to be done tomorrow once guns are finished.

That's them finished! Enjoying painting again so hopefully this will continue.

Well that got very busy very quickly. Tons of Austrians & Bavarians turned up. My 3 Brigades held out as long as they could but ultimately numbers told and I got battered!

Off round Des' for some 1814 Napoleonic action. A first for me playing a game set in this year. Hopefully the allied forces of @desmondo.bsky.social & @perbroden.bsky.social will go easy on my gallant lads tasked with defending la belle France. Really looking forward to it.

Best thing about today was the Spike Milligan bench. Did manage to have a quick chat with the medals bloke though which was nice.

Up early on a sunny Sunday as we are off to a filming of Antiques Roadshow. My missus got tickets and is taking some items to be looked at. I'm on folding chair carrying duties and I'm sure I'll enjoy myself as much as I would do if I'd be playing football - which I was supposed to be doing today...

Just wanted to say thank you to the twat sat opposite us on the Eurostar on the way home from Belgium. I did manage to catch the cold that you were so desperately trying to share by not covering your nose and mouth every time you sneezed. I've been feeling utterly shite all week thanks.
