My success yesterday using our E-bike to link 15 different local errands in a half day has me thinking about how to activate local businesses to support bike infrastructure. Because I was on a bike, it was easy for me to visit many locations and transact with my favorite local shops.

I’m thrilled to be joining Washington State Ferries as artist-in-residence next week, September 22nd–28th! I’ll be on board the Port Townsend–Coupeville ferry to explore, paint, and record experiences on this unique route. Learn more on my blog and stay tuned for updates!

EBikes should go 30mph and have their own wide, dedicated lanes. this is achievable and an actual transportation revolution if we can get the infrastructure built. Ebikes are car replacements with none of the downsides of car ownership.

We in B.C. could ban cars where the indoor handles are inoperable when the vehicle loses power. For cars already on dealer lots, we could have the manufacturers install large clear signage at each occupant position on how to safely exit. This might have the side effect of lowering Tesla sales.
