The Town of Ladysmith has officially opened four new outdoor pickleball courts. The town's mayor and two councillors cut the official ribbon for the new courts and other park upgrades Tuesday morning. Watch below: The courts are part of Phase 2 improvements to Lot 108 on 4th Avenue which include a bike skills park, and outdoor fitness area. The town's mayor says these additions aim to foster active lifestyles as it works towards building a vibrant, inclusive and multi-use community park at Forrest Field. "It's a multi-age facility. There's something here for everybody and we're hoping that people take advantage of it year-round to get out here and get some fresh air," said Mayor Deena Beeston.
