I'm getting ready for summer horror, mainly because it seems like springtime is the only season without strong (literary) horror? I know, I know, I know: every season is horror season. Anyway! Summer Slasher is out next month.

This is going to come across as pretentious and unhelpful, but I really recommend reading books. Reading a book is the only thing I do where I feel like I'm nourishing my attention span, rather than sanding it down. The trick is to just read whatever you enjoy — not what you feel like you should.

Sometimes I scroll down my timeline and marvel at how far from God's light we've strayed.

Without my high school education, I would not have my love for literature, theater, and the arts. I would not be able to create knitting patterns without the math I learned as a teen. I would not have had the foundations of the history knowledge I currently have.

I have a lot of Dredd apologists in my menchies and it's weird! Seriously, watch The Raid: Redemption. It's a better movie and it actually got its bigger budget sequel (which was also a great movie).

Okay, the problem with Punisher: One Last Kill is that I've seen Dredd, The Raid: Redemption, and read the Warren Ellis Moon Knight(/Mr. Night) run. And it wasn't as good as any of those.
