He emphasized how these encounters were deeply tied to colonialism, often portraying Indigenous groups as “lost” or “dying out” while ignoring their resilience and cultural continuity.He also discussed the rise of graphic history, a narrative form blending scholarship and comics to reimagine these stories from indigenous perspectives and highlight the limits of traditional historical accounts.
