Lots of great work has been done on populism in world politics, but there's still lot to do to understand the international implications of the far-right. Similarly to Tarik's point, these parties don't just want nationalist policies and less cooperation. They target global governance mechanisms.

Good thread. Agree Meloni is good at politics and the vacuum around her has helped elevate her. But this means that she is *seemingly* strong, bc the rest of 🇪🇺 is abominably weak.
