I actually think about this quite a lot. I love to write long-hand. I love to handle physical books and, especially, manuscripts. I love to reflect on the fact that in its most elementary sense, ‘digital’ refers to the fingers.

You guys, I hate AI use in class. However, AI detectors are only about 78-80% accurate. You cannot use these tools to accuse students with certainty. Many of my autistic & ESL students do not use AI and have gotten flagged. Please recognize that it is not at all rock solid proof that they cheated.
