Did you know I've been working on A-level content? I've managed to cover all of year 1 statistics now including in depth videos (a little over 6 hours worth), exam questions and solutions on each topic (117 full exam questions in total). All free, of course.

Help please I'm looking at equations of similar shapes and I'm very confused. I thought replacing x with 0.5x and y with 0.5y would produce similar shapes. Be kind in your replies 🙃

I suppose we can tell them to check but it's up to them. They'll be the ones who need to buy a new one when it gets answers wrong. When it arrives they can do the QR check and send back if it's fake

In an exam if you are asked to prove that you have a point of inflection I normally have f''x =0 and has a change of sign either side. Is there any reason for not doing f''x =0 and f'x has same sign either side?

This question expects you to solve the equation to get the given answer. Would you still get the marks if you reversed the process?

The recent additions of Complex Mode and recursive functions to
@desmos.com
make it much easier to code the Mandelbrot set. Still a bit slow to render, though. In this one, you can explore the shapes of a point's trajectory by dragging it around.

I made a starter pack for KS5 maths (teachers, posters, and other people involved in it) Most of the starter packs I've seen for maths teachers have been for all age groups, so this one is aimed towards sixth form (16-19 ish) Please let me know if you'd like adding (or removing)!
