Highly recommend commissioning Wocky if you are looking for someone to draw your characters. The turn around times are really good and I love the communication he had with me during the sketch phases.

Today, Christians across Canada celebrate Easter and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are reminded that compassion is stronger than hate, that light follows darkness, and that hope endures – even in the face of despair. From my family to yours, have a blessed Easter.

Brittany would put a Whoopee Cushion on the seats of everyone she knows. Her friends, her parents, her teachers, everyone. No one is safe from Brittany.

Today is the Transgender Day of Visibility and I'll take the opportunity to once again say that trans people matter, their lives have meaning, and what's being done to them by so many politicians and people in this country is wrong.

for characters, I tend to name them after people I’ve met or real life public figures. For projects, the names just come to me randomly there isn’t really a formal for them. And for place names, I tend to think of a name that relates to the theme and vibes of the place.

When I’m developing my stories, I make sure that there are hurdles on the way. A story without the character overcoming some sort of challenge would be a very boring story.

For first drafts, I tend to have a basic understanding of how I want the story to end. It isn’t a super detailed ending, but enough of an idea for me to know when to stop writing. I do find the ending and overall plot of my stories get more detailed the more I draft

Jesse Hamm had the take to end all takes on children's media. "People who disdain writing ‘just for children’ fail to realize that those children will remember what they read, maybe for the rest of their lives. You’re not writing for permanent children; you’re getting an early start on adults.”

Writers, especially those who write kidlit, I think we need to have a conversation about using parents not telling their child something to “protect them” and why this doesn’t really work especially today. Does this happen? Yes. And do we see it continuing to happen? Yes. ….
