#Febchantment D4: Only ones I can think of is the werewolf story, which has terms defining the level of what you can do. Enchanter: Minor changes to things. Think basic buffer. Can't do larger spells. Mage: Able to cast various spells. Shifter: Can change forms, though usually only to one form.

#Febchantment Day 3: For the dragon story... I don't know. It's pretty broad and loose, like all you need is the right spell, so I really don't know how to respond there. For the werebeast story, magic is used to "affect/change" things. The more you know about things, the more you can do.

#AwesomeCharacters Wouldn't surprise me at all. Sometimes people are drawn to the villains more than the heroes, even if they're purely evil and unlikable. I think many can sympathize with the motivations of Admiral Solez, though I would hope they don't agree with how far he's willing to go.

#Febchantment D2: One is pretty soft. Lots of various tools, charms, ect can be used to do all kinds of things. The other is a good bit harder. You can do a lot, but within pretty strict rules and limits, you gotta study A LOT! to do more, and a fire ball will never crack a stone wall.

#FebruaryWorldbuilders D2: Both fantasies cover only one continent. Still learning how big they are and how much they cover. The sci-fi covers somewhere around 20% of the Milky Way. Plenty of planets in there, though actually very few can sustain life. Few others are worth mining.

#AwesomeCharacters Heh, that is the million shard question. "Where is home, really?" Sundale likes to think home is around his pack and the humans he works with. Yet, especially after what he just went through, the word "home" nearly creates its own shudder in him, and has him asking that question.

#JanuaryWorldbuilders D30: More like trying to decide what terms to use for things. Such as; Group of dragons. Baby dragons. Juvenile dragons (do they have one?). Terms for part of or entire front/back foot (not as easy/straight forward as you might think). What deity they might worship.

Jason Harlem drills that hard into his crews, and they spend a lot of time practicing things like "scatter and evade". They prepare as best they can, but also know "no plan survives contact with the enemy".

Happy Birthday! In my sci-fi world, I take the idea that a yearly birthday is actually a mostly if not totally human thing. Everyone else just does milestones if anything. Puberty, coming of age, for the Holdrens the first time their tails glow (P.S. when they do, DUCK!). Beyond that, I don't know.

#JanuaryWorldbuilders D27: Not something I've touched on yet. The fantasies mention things like balistas and trebuchets, but that's about it. The sci-fi is a sticky one one since shield technology has rendered most WMDs useless really. Even a MAC gun from Halo/Mass Effect would do nothing...

#JanuaryWorldbuilders D26: Scorn fighter groups are technically 7 squads of 5. The first 7 fighters are the squad leaders. It's not unheard of for squads to be split from a group temporarily, though more rare than dedicated squads. Only ships in lone squads get call signs. Those in groups don't.

#JanuaryWorldbuilders D25; Not sure really. Though Jason drills his group pretty hard. To the point they actually practice things like "random" scattering. They spend a lot of time in simulations running through made up battles, or walking through maneuvers like you'd walk through an NFL play.

Well Holdrens don't do "normal" facial expressions because, well, they're animals. They don't smile, frown, ect like we do. Gotta watch the ears, eyes, whiskers, and tails instead, like you would a wolf. They also don't swear, and neither does Jason.... #AwesomeCharacters

#JanuaryWorldbuilders D23: Medical is pretty much Star Trek level, though rehab can still be a process. As for food, Scorns fighters do have a small scale food synthesizer, so they can eat decently. All I know about "combat rations" is they are at least palatable. Not dreaded, just not home cooked.

None of the Holdrens will take it too well. Wild animal + cage = not a happy customer. But they should keep it together unless it gets rough. Not sure about Conall. He's mostly wolf mentally, but pretty even tempered. Probably be demanding a paladin though. #AwesomeCharacters

#JanuaryWorldbuilders D20: The fantasies are typical blades and such, unless you count dragon claws and wolf fangs. In the sci-fi, mostly "boring" officer swords and plasma tipped combat knives, though in book 2, Holdrens get tiny blades along their muzzle they can trigger with their energy matrix.

I generally have a name pretty soon after a character is "born". So far, only two have gotten a change of name, but that was when the Holdrens got a naming convention change. #AwesomeCharacters

#JanuaryWorldbuilders D19: Space age energy weapons and missiles. Though the energy weapons have a longer range than targeting does, but that gets into the weed of how the battle between ECM and ECCM works in my world.

That is... an interesting question. Thing is, I'd say the same in some ways, opposites in others. Both will give everything to defend their homes and loved ones, and are fiercely loyal to them. But the antag will go places/do things the protag never would, not even for his pack. #AwesomeCharacters

#JanuaryWorldbuilders D17: I'm still learning about this world and its plot, but right now, there is a legend of the armor of the Sandulf, which according to that legend, is the best forged armor ever made. Possibly indestructible, and could be used to unite werebeasts behind one werebeast.

#JanuaryWorldbuilders D16: Oddly enough, many of my foils don't engage the heroes directly. The only ones that do wield either fang and claw, or a simple sword and shield. At least so far. I still have other WIPs to finish.

#JanuaryWorldbuilders D15: Besides his teeth, claws, and tails? Standard issue combat knife. Little has changed for 300 years besides materials, but if it ain't broke... Also a P-mag (plasma magnum). A simple sidearm that fires your plasma bolts. As for armor...

#JanuaryWorldbuilders D14: Uhm... can't say I have any. Holdrens of course prefer a fresh kill, but then they're predators, so it's natural for them. But food/drink is an element I don't dig too much into. Possibly because I'm a picky eater myself, so it's hard to imagine anything "special".

It's a weird feeling. Because of how things shook out, I basically had a week off of work. I got a lot done on efforts to publish my next novel. Then today, back at the day job as normal. It was tiring and stressful. And yet... Oddly grounding. I still can't put into words the dual feelings I feel.
