Next up on #FreshIngredients, my favourite track from the wonderful new @shapeslikepeople.bsky.social LP. I attended a delightful listening party for it the other night and it is a beautiful record: it felt to me like a brilliant college-pop soundtrack to a late 80s/90s cult US film.

Next up on #FreshIngredients a track from the archive (recently exhumed!) by Scissor Fits. REALLY into this! For fans of Lou Reed and/or The Television Personalities. After that, a glorious song by Nic Jones ('The Humpback Whale), & then, Comet Gain ('Strength').

I’m normally quite careful not to put too many self-indulgent personal faves into the show, but this one-two of Richard and Linda Thompson then The Blue Aeroplanes is about as good as music gets for me. ‘Wall of Death’ then ‘Jacket Hangs’.
