porting games is hard man turns out the whole game over sequence is borked, and there's supposed to be video file played there that just isnt included in the source code so i found a version of the og game with the fmvs, ripped them, converted them, and now they're in (relatively) high quality :D

I discovered an early version of the Eat at Joe's darkness effect in one of the earliest Rayman 1 PS1 demos (demo from Japanese DemoDemo vol. 6). I quite prefer this version to the final one since here you can actually see the entire screen, even if it's darkened. #rayman

I designed the first Moon Child character in late 1991. It was an elf-like character. The sprite looked better on blurry CRT screens back then. 😅 When we started MC Amiga development, we wanted Sonic-like speed, and I streamlined MC for that. The elf makes a cameo appearance in the Windows version.
