I wonder if some part of splatoon 2 me was correct about just playing exclusively one type of weapon (long range shooters) instead of hard committing to one weapon or just constantly flexing around onto a bunch of different weapon classes.

8s is so much fun for the first few weeks of a new server and then quickly becomes terrible as a massive flood of anchor players pollute the server and now every game has 4 out of 8 players rotating the anchor position.

In order to limit excessive amounts of anchor players we should introduce "E-liter play tokens" where if you complete 3 games with a non charger weapon you will receive 1 token, E-Liter will be completely grayed out on the weapon select screen unless you expend 1 token to equip it. Max of 10 tokens.

honestly it's weird but I used to shit on zones only in splatoon 2 but tbh I'm at the point where I wouldn't mind if zones only was the default. I think it sucks that a couple of solid clams/tc maps get caught in the crossfire but a smaller ruleset makes prep easier and helps specialized comps
