Issues of #housing and #climatechange go hand-in-hand. You can't create more housing for ppl only to watch it get destroyed by increasingly hostile environmental conditions. All housing policy must have environmental policy built in.

I believe that you should be able to be born in and grow old in the same home if you would like to.

Just want to say regarding #mentalhealth: Physicians have zero respect for mental health in my experience and it's a fucking problem. It's bad. They should meet and discuss how they fail their patients with mental disorders. It would save lives if they put their backs into solving this issue.

Research shows that worker-owned businesses tend to be more productive, grow faster, offer greater employment stability, survive longer, and employ happier workers than non-worker-owned companies. Billionaires are middlemen. Workers are capable of owning and managing economic organization.

What sucks about this, at least in NYC, is that you will NOT call the cops. You will call for an ambulance. But the cops will still fucking show up.

MH: My opinion is that mental health professionals in America need to find new ways of accommodating ppl with suicidal thoughts and potential suicidal action. You put ppl in a place where they have to lie to you so they don't get thrown into an institution that makes them worse.

Outside of NYC, things are looking grim. Cruel. With few options provided, homeless ppl in DC are being "removed" and criminalized. It is not entirely clear where they will end up.

Having a joyful home in NYC should mean easier access to shaping the future of your own neighborhood. Discussion meetings that accomodate working ppl's hours, user-friendly neighborhood websites, and simple, honest proposal notifications could go a long way in giving NY back to NYers

An overlooked aspect to affordable housing efforts in NYC: supporting current residents. Sheepshead Bay residents agreed to an affordable housing + mixed-use building. The private owner, Westhab, simply changed their mind about this agreement and are instead providing a shelter.
