one of the issues I have with road user charges (other than inequity between vehicles) is that it is much harder for people on a tight budget. Usually paid up front in advance which means lump sum. Smaller tax increments at the pump can be done in smaller sums when you scrape up money for petrol.

This govt is f exhausting. So our eldest did school cert etc, middle a combo of Cambridge/NCEA and youngest Cambridge which in retrospect was a disaster. Grandson starts high school next year and who knows what he will face with this new system. Total chaos I suspect. Like wtf Grades A to E. GTFO
