Any rule in a board game can & will be missed or forgotten by someone. So increasingly when deciding whether to add a rule, I consider whether it "fails gracefully." If you forget that rule, does the whole game halt or break? Or does it continue functioning (albeit with a minor loss in quality)?

Angeline Era is out NOW!!! ^.^ here's a breakdown of some elements and techniques I used to create the HUGE visual world of Era. Ultra-dense action and secrets meant a bigger focus than ever on visual clarity and communication! ⚔️🔍 See it in action!!

Whenever I make my game's resolution higher, it feels like non-game developers appreciate it more. And maybe the inverse is also true, the smaller the resolution the more likely game developers will appreciate it.

I made this guide to doing procedural legs (as in Thwack) for someone awhile back. It's pretty scrappy but figured I'd share it anyways if someone finds it helpful.

You can override the default
#GodotEngine
loading bar color if you go into a project's exported index.html file and then add "accent-color: <your color>" to the 'status-progress' class. Paired with a custom bootsplash image in the settings, you can get a much more customized loading screen :)

Candy Bag was the first game I made with Love2D / Lua. For some reason, my brain aligned more with building UI from code and not through an engine interface. It's kind of fun and creative to build your own "UI engine" from code just for that game.
