Haven’t done a shoot since October and I still have about another 5 weeks of recovery time. Trying really hard not to do a hard reset and get a whole new camera for when I come back. The bed rotting boredom is taking me to some weird places.

It’s rough but I’m doing my best to get through it.

Health update: Weird thing I’ve never seen before: arm veins. Sometimes I feel like I’m in someone else’s body, but then my knee pops or my back hurts and I feel like me again.

Yesterday I wore a turtleneck and when I put my coat on I thought “why does this look familiar?” Then I realized I was accidentally cosplaying Chris Redfield.

So a few months ago I started using Noom to help me keep track of my calorie intake and assist with getting into the proper habits to manage my diabetes. I was 293 and set a goal weight of 209…

Wore this fit for a shoot recently. Simple black button up and grey vest, shirt tucked in, black pants. Today I wore it to work. I dress just professional “enough”. Clean but untidy. Loose and untucked. For the first time during this health/weight loss journey I wore something I really wanted to.

In gaming news, this game was free on steam over the weekend so I tried it. The combat system is absolute ass and I don’t understand why it gets so much praise. And while I love ✨immersion✨, this game is slow and system heavy for no damn reason. Not a bit of this game has any respect for your time

I am still firmly in recovery mode, but I haven’t done a shoot in over a month and I need to create something. Even if it’s just a quick shoot. Gonna test the waters this week hopefully. Not going back to a regular shoot schedule yet. Just gauging where I’m at physically.

Life update: while the past month or so has been a hot mess, today I hit 40 pounds lost and halfway to goal weight. It felt nice to be able to acknowledge that in the midst of everything else.

October is normally my busiest time of year for doing fun horror and horror smut shoots. The fact that I’ve spent the entire month home on bed rest is really fucking with me mentally. Not FOMO, just…sad?
