Coming back from conferences always fuels me to continue to work on the preliminary results that I've presented. At Swiss Psychological Society conference 2025, I organised a symposium on the use of screens and mobile media across populations of pre-school children, early adolescents, and parents.

Happy to invite the attendees of the 18th CONFERENCE OF THE SWISS PSYCHOLOGICAL SOCIETY (Crans-Montana, 7-9.09.2025) to our symposium on digital behaviors. We will target preschool-aged children, adolescents, and parents, and discuss different dimensions of smartphone use across daily life contexts.

Rather than asking if people see social media as good or bad, perhaps we should study how agency, self-control, literacy, etc. support well-being…and what behaviors people who feel in control actually engage in when they use social media (without letting platforms off the hook…)

Data quality shouldn't fall on the shoulders of one person. Data quality is influenced by every phase of the research data life cycle (design of instruments, how data is collected, etc.). In order to see improvements in data quality, the entire team needs to be invested, every step of the way.

Last week I also gave a guest lecture on “Phubbing and technoference” at @unibe.ch as part of the course “Psychology of Digitalisation” upon the invitation from @malte.the100.ci. Thanks for having me, I appreciate the exchanges related to study components and interactions with active students!
