Phrases i get SO tired of hearing in TTRPGs: "traditional ttrpgs" Let us be 100% clear: there is no such thing as a "traditional ttrpg". There are multiple ttrpg traditions! There are iconic brands! But traditional ttrpgs are just another way of saying "clone of some style of gaming I like".

I saw a post about how the term “community” should be rejected in alt/niche scenes bc it usually replaces the word “industry”. Let’s talk about it in the context of the TTRPG niche. “TTRPG community” is warm & fuzzy, safe. But it doesnt function like a community. It’s an industry.
