New figures released by the government today are shocking. Child poverty has reached a new record high with 4.5 million children falling below the poverty line in the year to April 2024. This is an increase of 100,000 from the previous year.

New evidence confirms that migrant children aren't accessing the early years support they need. A huge 40% of migrant parents not using childcare said they are or their partner are unable to get a job at all. Being locked out of childcare stops parents working and pushes families into poverty.
