It’s so weird when apps include fullscreen iframes or web views to 3rd party content like we just won’t notice. It’s always a bad experience.

Vestibular disorders affect people's balance as well as their visual perception of their world around them. Don't make animations, sliders, videos, or rapid movement start automatically, as autoplaying elements could trigger a bad reaction in people who have vestibular disorders.

This happens all the time in native mobile apps too. iOS: Apply the .isHeader trait to heading text Android: Give heading text the Heading role

The wild thing is watching companies spend years ignoring accessibility (building div soup with misused ARIA) and now seeing AI models fail to understand their sites. Turns out AI can’t infer structure where none exists.

PSA, your mobile application has to work in portrait AND landscape. There are way to many users who use their phones in landscape mode (for various reasons) and by not allowing your app to support both you are not allowing all users to use your app.

We have been told for nearly 30 years that America needed to tolerate mass shootings because the broad availability of guns would help us defend ourselves from an overreaching federal government. That day has come. The people who said this are supporting the federal agents. Many have joined them.

Hence even the best AI writing detection plugin is likely to mistake human writing for AI writing. So, rather than test your AI-generated copy for AI flags using an AI detection plugin, why not do something new and write text worth reading?

AI captions do not conform to
#WCAG
they usually require a lot of work to make them usable The highest-risk areas for real harm are: (1) named entities/numbers, (2) multi-speaker attribution, (3) timing/readability, and (4) hallucinated “corrections.”

Folks bypass things like the fact that NYPD activated drones and 30 cop cars for a demonstration of 1000 people in freezing weather today. The levels of surveillance and potential repression are taken as regular order in this country.

1. Headlines everywhere today read "Grok apologizes." This is bullshit. A chatbot is not something that can apologize. Pretending otherwise is simple laundering these companies' bullshit about what AI is, while diffusing blame away from the human beings that developed and released this system.

Automatic captions make it difficult to watch videos because the viewer is forced to decipher misspelled or mistranslated words that appear in a string of text without any punctuation. These can be distracting and disorienting. Always edit your captions before publishing.

We're all supposed to be 100% in tune with white men's feelings. We're supposed to care about them at the expense of our own. We are supposed to live in fear of them getting upset. Treating their feelings as grenades that can go off at any time. They on the other hand do not need to care about ours.
