Something incredible just happened. Have moved house so much over the last 5 years and naturally lost loads of things including some of my favourite records.Today, one of my old landlords called me and asked if these bags of records were mine. I can’t even explain how overjoyed I am right now.

Listened to In Rainbows and then OK Computer back to back today. It’s been a while and there is always a lot of noise about In Rainbows so I wanted to check in. I checked in. Both still amazing, but OK Computer clear by some distance.

One of the joys of my daughter growing up is that we can watch good films together. Have watched a couple of my favourites recently; ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’ and ‘Silver Linings Playbook’. She gave them a score of 7 and 8 respectively. Not sure she is ready for Aliens yet, but baby steps aye.

Listening back to this album all the way through and being reminded that it’s one of the finest electronic albums from the last 20 years. Proper classic.

Was getting annoyed with how deep my records were going back on each shelf so gave myself a little project. Hate DIY, but found this to be very therapeutic. Looks so much better now.

This afternoons listening. A classic from Nathan Fake. Definitely reminiscent of Boards of Canada in parts and harking back to an era where Border Community releases were essential. Released in 2006.

This mornings listening and fitting for this nice weather we are having atm. This is a beauty from Barker. His first full-length release since 2019’s Utility.

For fans of Shed, I can highly recommend the new album from Endrew out on Hotflush.

On a completely different tip, the Djrum record is a phenomenal piece of work. So technical and unique. A true artist that is pushing things forward.

Picked up this absolute gem recently. It’s just effortlessly cool. Like listening to the soundtrack of a 70’s cop drama. Going to be superb for sampling too.

Give your ears a little treat with this superbly produced EP from Human Concept. Love ‘Drift Forms’ in particular.

Just back from watching this at the theatre. Was incredibly suspensful and intense in parts. Highly recommend catching on current tour if you like horrors.

In terms of gigs that I have booked this year, 2025 is going to take some beating. Nine Inch Nails Deftones Autechre Desperate for some live music.

Another new MPU101 release out today on Ilian Tape. Not been that enamoured with the last couple of this series, but this label rarely misses so looking forward to checking out.
