I've been using Delta Touch on android which is a great way of playing Doom engine games/mods so I hope UZDoom eventually gets integrated.

For around $200 you can now buy android gaming handhelds that will play most of the PS2 and Gamecube library (upscaled), a whole bunch of PC games, and even a ton of Switch games (all legally, of course). Absolutely ridiculous how good retro handheld gaming has become.

Been playing some of the older doom games as I've been tinkering with trying to get some mods running on my android handheld and I forgot how creepy the Doom 64 ambient sounds were. The sounds and level designs definitely give it a liminal space vibe. They used to creep me the hell out on the N64.

I get the argument for it, I really do. Game geometry is more complex now and so developers want to signpost interactive elements. All I'm saying is there's got to be better ways than garish yellow paint? At least give people options to adjust the opacity or toggle it on/off.
