Pro Linux/Steam tip: get ProtonUp-Qt and download GE-Proton with it. It'll then be available as a compatibility option under game properties in Steam. Ran into my first game where Steam's version of Proton refused to start the game but it runs fine in GE-Proton (The Entropy Centre)
