Spent the public holiday today tutoring maths students and loving it. Took this year off teaching as LWOP because of burnout & some personal issues. Tutoring has reinvigorated my love of teaching but I doubt I will go into a classroom again. In tutoring I feel valued & know I make a difference.

This seemingly harmless puddy tat knocked a full mug of coffee onto my laptop this morning. Laptop is now dead. He is extremely fortunate that said laptop needed replacing anyway. Now to navigate the password fields. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Have been making fortnightly visits to Foodle at Highpoint. Today I made a beef rendang with carrots, red capsicum, eggplant, onion, and kang kong. Used the Richmond Bridge rendang paste. It will definitely be in the menu forthcoming.

Ha! Mother’s Day. Here is the reality. 20yo and 17yo at home all day. 17yo asks at 7pm where the duck in the fridge has gone (threw it out months ago). 15yo has been at work all day. 18yo has left home. I ended up getting frozen leftovers from the freezer. Feeling pretty shite right now.
