Why is one entitled to cost money though and not the other? Both are extreme time and money investments, both promise quality, and both have massive audiences excited to watch/play them. Yet only one is able to recoup the cost to create it.

It’s really interesting noting how different the public views indie animation compared to indie games. With indie animation, there’s almost this expectation that it should be free. It’s released on YouTube, and it’s just free for everyone to watch. And honestly, it’s wonderful that it’s free.

This is probably the only time I'll be sharing this - but this is why I have been looking into alternatives to drawing so much as of late. Stabilizers in digital programs help a LOT, but I have a feeling this is only going to get worse as time passes.

Episode 1 will resume uploading. Only about 20 pages left anyway. After that, it's over. The plans I had were simply too ambitious, especially with my current situation and ongoing health issues. I am working on something new, will post wips occasionally. Already have been. Keep your eyes peeled!

Episode 2's comic is halfway finished. It will remain unfinished and be posted in this state exclusively for Patrons (pledges are still on hold, basically at the moment it's a €3 one-time fee to access all previous content - no plans to turn monthly pledges back on for now).

I've finally made a decision in regards to the comic. It's finally being put to rest. I may return to it again in the future, but a one-year break was certainly too short, and turning 22-minute episodes into 100-page comics just isn't going to work.

Anyway folks open your eyes and look around there's SO MUCH MORE to indie animation than just Spindlehorse, Glitch and Lackadaisy, you just need to look for it ✨️❤️✨️

Free or cheaper equipment and programs are often just as good as "the industry standard", esp for portfolio and learning purposes. "Industry standard" usually only means said program or tool was one of the first to become widely used & this industry can be a dinosaur when it comes to adapting

Don't make something with the intention of getting rich and famous or having mass appeal. Create something that appeals to you specifically and you'll have a lot more fun with it. And if other people like it, that's a bonus.
