The organizational imperative for “growth” — for any kind of org — without some moral underpinning for what that growth is good for has bothered me since I was a kid. I’m not against growth. But explain to me why bigger is better and more is more than more in a way that has integrity

No, it’s not his best, & I could not care less that it isn’t. He’s already written songs for the ages. I want songs for now. Gimme more people writing abt King Trump’s private army. It's our blood and bones And these whistles and phones Against Miller and Noem's dirty lies

Trump wants to appear eager to minimize clashes between his government militias and protesters. But he doesn't want them to stop doing the things that are causing the clashes in the first place. The "pivot" is really about getting Dems to back off in budget talks. 3/

If media is going to claim a "pivot," let's stipulate some threshold questions: Is ICE still treating US cities like occupied territory? Will there be serious governmental investigations into ICE killings? Any accountability for them? If not, nothing is changing. 2/

By who? Who shot the person dead? You saw the video. We all know a federal agent shot a man dead who was prone on the ground. Also, it's not "according to officials." It's according to verified video seen with your eyes. Not saying what anyone can obviously see with their eyes is a form of lying.

Our Democratic elected officials are not rising to this moment so most of them must go. Any elected official who isn’t willing to organize a Project 2029 around punishing everyone in the Trump administration in order to save democracy must go.

We are watching one of the wildest things a nation-state has ever done: A superpower is committing suicide because the GOP Congress is too cowardly to stand up to the Mad King. This is one of the wildest moments in all of geopolitics ever.

Felt like I needed some very Bobby-ish Bobby today and ended up at 10/12/24 for the Sailor > Saint. Which was excellent. But nicer still to stumble onto the Playing (reprise), which isn't necessarily out there, but is to my ears very happily weird.
