The annual station use statistics always fascinate it as an example of how rail commuter travel is *so* skewed to London/SE. My nearest station, Denmark Hill, most likely unknown if you don't live in London, had 5.8m passengers last year, more than Milton Keynes Central, Leicester or Southampton.
