where can we report/advocate for better infrastructure? Almost got flattened by someone not paying attention to flashing crosswalk lights on 106 Ave in Forest Heights. I truly believe it's a matter of time before someone is killed on this road.

After yesterday's snow, roads are melted and clear today. A little bit of partially melted snow and ice on the Ottewell shared pathway but not too bad! Really nice weather for it today.

The Trump regime is now using US Attorneys to intimidate academic journals by sending them letters demanding they explain how they ensure ‘viewpoint diversity.’ Journal editors should be public about this and coordinate to refuse to comply with these fascist tactics.

Gonna keep saying this: In the 1840s, Southerners insisted that they could kidnap any person they alleged was a slave without any state or federal process. This turned even minimal process into resistance and raised the salience of the issue, which radicalized a bunch of people against slavery.

If tariffs persist, Canadian economy will shrink permanently by 3%. Enormous pain. But Northern US states will feel extraordinary pain, too. Asymmetric retaliation options include not respecting US copyrights, including around things like drug licensing. Options are on the table.

Safe to say over the next 4 years, the US government will attempt to kill all academic research that is not geared toward technological development or wealth creation. US universities need to tighten their belts and weather the storm. Also, it will bleed over into Canada, too.

Wow! More TB outbreaks in
#Nunavut
. TB was to be eradicated, right? as Trudeau vowed in Iqaluit in 2019…But there’s still been a lot of secrecy and inaction. Often people haven’t even known where outbreaks are taking place. Add to that poverty, food insecurity, overcrowded housing etc etc
