The new study makes an important point, that whether ASR increase is caused by an aerosol forcing or low-cloud feedback (rather than internal variability), that would both mean that climate sensitivity is underestimated ECS=4.8°C+1.2C

As the debate around solar radiation modification (SRM; aka geoengineering) intensifies, the European Commission asked about an evidence review report. Bottom line: SRM is no meaningful option to combat climate change. The debate helps to sharpen arguments.
