The Pure Power of Rage in The Bride by Maggie Gyllenhaal - A Geography of Reading
āDarling, something is cracking.ā ā Maggie Gyllenhaal, The Bride Itās easy to argue, watching the news over the last decade, that something needs to crack. I really detest those AI videos where the angel version of a deceased celebrity comes and sits beside a younger version, but the temptation to make an AI of myself doing a dance-up-the-aisle like Patrick Swayze: Tempting! (KIDDING! Not gonna add to the energy demand.)

I liked The Bride. I can see how itās not a mass-appeal film, but itās an interesting take, and the production design and particularly the imaging of the 1930s and NYC movie palaces are beautifully done.
