#vent CW: Big Sad over taxes and capitalism My least favorite bit of filing taxes every year is the emotional low it rains on me. It's like the adult version of a report card, telling me how good or bad I did at the most important thing an American adult can do; generate income.

Ended up with rain and 30mph gusts, then got a migraine for half of Saturday TTwTT So no nature walk OR stream last weekend, but maybe this coming weekend will work out!

The forecast changed to heavy rains, noooo Still time for it to change again. Even if it just changes to light rain, I'll still go out! Rain, rain, go away ʕノ•ᴥ•ʔノ

I hear it's going to be nice out this weekend! We just got hit with snow again, so I'm looking forward to more warm weather to make up for it, ha ha Thinking I'll go to a nature trail and draw the plants I see sprouting (if there are any!)

#vent It's the time of year that I get a bunch of spam texts about taxes. That's annoying enough, but what really makes me grit my teeth is that they're all addressed to my ex-husband. Even the text spam is heckin' sexist, c'mon!

Decided I'm due for some Little time tonight. Dunno what I'll do just yet, but today has been super anxiety-filled so I need to unplug my brain! I -do- have a jigsaw puzzle I've been saving... it's got some of the most famous lighthouses in the world on it! I'm gonna learn lots about them~

My least favorite part of women's day is seeing every post about it inevitably have a comment that says "what about men's day" Why do these people only ask about it on this day? They don't seem to care any other time, huh. I know it's just a bait question, but omg just -shut up- for one day

The migraine followed me into the night and I ended up not really sleeping. But on the plus side, this will make the stupid daylight savings time change easier to adapt to, so I guess that's a win?

My only day off this week and I had a migraine for most of it 😭 I'm feeling better now at least, but the day is almost over and I'm sad. I gotta make the most of the bit that's left! Now should I color, read, or play games... 🤔

Feeling unsure of my personal relationship with the furry fandom these days. I like furry, I still call myself furry, and most of my social circle are furries... But I don't seem to align with the fandom at large, and haven't for a while now. It's a weird feeling.

In less vent-y thoughts; I learned that papier mache is really easy to do, and takes way less newspaper than I had saved up for the one project I finished. What else should I make out of this stuff? It was so fun to work with, I want to do more just for the heck of it!

#vent I'm starting to wonder if using tone markers might be a good habit to get into. Or at the very least, maybe I should announce when I'm being rhetorical for the sake of making conversation, so I can stop getting "advice" shoved in my face anytime I open my mouth. It's INSANELY frustrating.

Yesterday I sat and sorted all my loose crayons into rainbow order, sharpened them and peeled the paper back as needed, and repaired the broken ones with pretty washi tape. I cannot stress enough how relaxing an activity that ended up being 🖍️

Trying not to stress too hard about the lack of SNAP next month, it's been such a huge help for me financially. I've lived on a shoestring budget plenty before so I know I can make it, but I'm not looking forward to the return of "do I have enough?" anxiety again.

I've got therapy again today, and last session was really unpleasant. I'll be doing some emotional cleanup with my therapist to talk about how it went, and I anticipate to go well, but be very draining. So with that in mind, I'm being proactive and setting up some Little space aftercare!

Been feeling very motivated to wear my collars lately, and even leaving the house wearing them like I used to when I was younger. There is just something about a dog collar that feels insanely comforting

Looking back, this feels like foreshadowing, lol. I did end up burning out hard, and am just now pulling up from it again. I'm proud of myself for taking time to rest, even though I battled with feeling lazy (rather than seeing it for what it is; sick time). But self-care won this time around ❤️
