Just had a sample of the Eaton Fire ash that is in my driveway run on the department XRF. Is there titanium (new house paint)? Yup. Lead (old house paint)? You betcha. Heavy metals? Check. Treat that ash like it's toxic folks (because it is)

If you’re in the US, what’s your plan for maintaining your sanity through the incoming administration? My favorite ideas so far: novels and poetry instead of doomscrolling, daily exercise (even 15 minutes is better than nothing), and maybe we don’t need to check the news more than 1x/day

Incredible news! Montana’s Supreme Court just affirmed that the state’s gender affirming care ban is likely unconstitutional. This makes the state the first state Supreme Court to rule that trans medical care is protected. This applies REGARDLESS of what the US Supreme Court does.
