(Nicktoons) (In chronological order) 1. Ren Hoek (Ren & Stimpy) Yeah, I’m aware Twitter has tainted the character a little bit because every time I see a profile pic of him, it’s going to be a toxic user. But I can’t help but enjoy this chihuahua as he’s responsible for the show’s funniest moments.

2. Rocko Rama (Rocko’s Modern Life) One of the most relatable protagonists in animation. While Heffer and Filburt are funnier characters, Rocko is the perfect protagonist.

3. Nigel Thornberrys (The Wild Thornberrys) Simply one of Klasky Csupo’s best characters. He’s pretty much the reason why TWT thrived with him (Eliza is a little bit on the vanilla side).

4. Patrick Star (SpongeBob SquarePants/The Patrick Star Show) One of the funniest animated characters. Chances are, the highlight of an episode will be mostly of his antics.

5. Zim (Invader ZIM) Richard Steven Horvitz’s performance as this alien made him an entertaining character.

6. Sheen Estavez (Jimmy Neutron/Planet Sheen) Another best friend character who provided majority of a show’s humor. NOTE: This only applies to his self in the original show whereas in his spinoff, the writers increased his stupidity to lethal levels.

7. Harvey Beaks (including Fee and Foo) I can’t decide who I like more but these three make up a strong friendship, which is why the show was so cozy.

8. Luna Loud (The Loud House) If you noticed a pattern, most of my favorite characters tend to be funny. So it’s not surprising that my favorite Loud sister is the one who is a comedienne.

9. Parker J Cloud (Middlemost Post) A cute little nimbus character who could’ve been the next marketable character if their show lasted longer.

10. Scissors (Rock Paper Scissors) Perfect definition of a lovable jerk character. Also the second Carlos Alazraqui voiced character in this list.

the only children's show is Peppa Pig, if a show deals with any topic beyond "the sum of two plus two" it is immediately also for adults, and there is a meaningful distinction between childrens and family shows and that is "i watched it"

in addition to the horrors, peeking over at the other site has revealed a large amount of discourse in which people are very, very, angrily denying that Avatar: The Last Airbender is a show for children

the fact there are still arguments that shows that are generally aimed towards children cant be enjoyed by adults is a bit bewildering picking atla for it is even funnier because that is the definition of a show that can be literally enjoyed by anybody

I’d like to see these shows get resurgences as well (the 2010s shows are already having their resurgences so it’s a matter of time the same happens to them). If the target demographics weren’t so damn busy watching YouTube Kids and TikTok slop, they would’ve lasted beyond one or two seasons.

The Barbarian and the Troll getting a resurgence on Twitter was not on my 2026 bingo card but I'm glad it did, this Nickelodeon show is so peak
