Today was a long day. However Eddie is a wee mouse catching hero and Rudi is her supportive lil sidekick. I'm glad they are both so well rested 😂

Eddie just wandering round the house growling. She has a (real) mouse in her mouth and won't drop it.

Reminder that most art gallery receptions are free. If you ever need a low-cost night out because you're broke, they could always use you in their head count. Looking to impress possible buyers, if for-profit. When applying for grants, if non-profit. Win-win situation.

Is it time for bed yet? I'm exhausted.

Slowly putting the garden to bed. Tomatoes all picked and pots taken off the deck, spuds dug. In the next few weeks it'll be time to plant the garlic and figure out what needs winter sowing.

Maritime bus is a joke. Kid supposed to get into Mahone bay at 5:05 and the bus is still somewhere in Halifax. Not the first time with this particular service. I complained last time this happened and clearly Maritime bus gives no shits.

What a week. And not done yet. Yay.

I planned meals for this week. I shopped specifically for the meal plan. I have lost the meal plan.

Eek - this was just up the road from us. We felt nothing.

Unfortunately I have started this recipe about 2hours too late. Never mind 🤷‍♀️

Yard clean up continues. I sat down with a cup of tea and now I can't get up again.

Tried to get into bed only to find Rudi in my place. Apparently this is his bed now.

Parenting advice? Listen to your kids when they tell you they’re unhappy. Help them understand why and don’t diminish their problems or make backhanded/passive-aggressive comments. Then they won’t turn into damaged adults who raised themselves in a vacuum created my emotionally immature parents 👍🏼

Coffee in bed this morning after a much needed sleep-in. It's going to be a restful day I think.
