Castell Coch was closed today for maintenance. Workers were using a huge crane to access to roof.

#Welsh references of #CrimsonDesert! Pywel has Welsh-like stylings, while some characters have Welsh links, including Myurdin (Myrddin), with Duke Caliburn's name alluding to an adaptation of Caledfwlch (Excalibur). Welsh actors include Tobias Weatherburn, Jack Ayres and Scott Arthur.

This week we’re sharing new material received in 2025. We were sad to hear of the death of artist Mary Traynor in August. We already held a large collection of her work. Mary Traynor’s family deposited the rest of her collection with us in October, including this drawing of Castell Coch.
