Update: Last week they said 1 month. 2 days ago they brought a hospital bed into her home & told my father she probably has 2 weeks at the most. Last night we went to see her for what may have been the last time. Again, please pray for my dad.

It took becoming friends with an audiobook narrator but I finally understand the appeal of the audiobook.

Found out today that my mother had pendants made out of the ashes of my childhood dog & gave them to everyone in the family as Christmas gifts this year. Everyone, that is, except myself & my father. The man who got that dog as a puppy & the child who grew up alongside that dog.

My dad’s partner is in hospice. A week ago they said she had 3-4 months. Today they said 1 month. If you’re the praying type, please pray for my dad.

Masks and handwashing work very well against the current form of flu, in the first year of Covid, when more people were masking, we knocked out an entire strain of flu. So there’s yet another reason to start wearing them.
